NPD Statement

NPD, or Narcissistic Personality Disorder, is a disorder related to Borderline Personality Disorder. They are both much maligned, but NPD seems to get the brunt of it, with coinages like “narc” to describe an armchair-diagnosed abuser and “narcissistic abuse” to describe a particular type of mistreatment.

This blog is decidedly pro-NPD, and I don’t believe that any disorder should be stigmatized, especially not in a way that conflates it with abuse. People are abusive because they make abusive choices, not because they have a particular mental illness.

However, many mental health resources, including the ones I link to, might not agree with the pro-NPD stance and may post triggering or alienating content about people with NPD. Please click through at your own risk.
